This is Lonesome Jim, an English teacher at the time of filming. This, however, wasn’t his usual day at school; it was the last day of his teaching career and students were in for one final lesson.

Current educational system sometimes reminds of a semi-corrupted socialistic system, where it is drilled in one’s head that education and particularly school itself cannot be fun. Also, sometimes it seems like people have forgotten to distinguish between literal and figurative meanings of certain messages, however this is the whole genius of any sort of art, the ability to read between the lines and get the right message.

Quoting Jim:

The local superintendent of schools, Lisa Gallagher, upon viewing the clip, and being unable to distinguish a class room theatre piece from reality, suspended him for the last five days of his career and deducted $1,338.00 from his final paycheck, declaring him guilty of “unprofessional behaviour in front of students”. All of the students passed the final exam.

As a final lesson, Lonesome Jim demonstrated symbolism and humor to the students in this small skit.
